We all know how hard it is to raise money as an NGO or a Social Enterprise in India. While the Government seems to be publicising a lot of schemes, how does one even get to apply to them? No clear procedure is outlined and e-mails to officials always go unanswered.
In such a scenario, it is best to start with the huge range of alternative sources available to fund your project or venture. Whether it be impact investing funds, foundations or fellowships - the options are immense. It is recommended that as a relatively new entity, you should build legitimacy using these options, create a trail of impact and then approach the Government for funds and partnerships.
